Christmas with the Williamses

Gift giving is tough for some people.  People like Marina and I, we absolutely cannot wait until the actual day of each other's birthday's, our anniversary, Valentine's day, or Christmas to start giving gifts.  As a savvy shopper, I do most of my gift (and personal) shopping online - and of course, nobody wants to give a gift late, so I do my shopping early enough to allow for the gifts to be shipped.  The problem is, once they start arriving, we can't help but give each other gifts early!  It's just too dang exciting when you have something you know will really make your Love happy.  I try my best NOT to reveal too early, but alas my resolve is not what it once was.

So anyways, on to the presents!

Marina is a big fan of mid-century modern furniture, particularly chairs.  Vitra has been producing miniature versions of their chairs for years - these are extremely high priced although well made.  So, me being the deal-searcher I am, I found discount versions of these chairs that do the trick:  Check them out

Of course, I only gave this gift after Marina gave one to me!  I am a huge fan of Deadpool from Marvel comics, for many reasons I'm sure I'll get into later.  I collect comics, figures, enjoy the video games, etc.  Marvel occasionally releases higher-priced action figures that are sold at exclusive retailers - unfortunately we in Florida usually get stiffed on these exclusives!  After multiple trips to our local Toys R Us, I had just about given up.  But, lovely Marina got a deal on eBay and came through like Santa!

This is an awesome figure that will live nicely in my collection (which I'll also share soon).  Can't wait to see what else is in store for me this Christmas!  Wish me luck in not giving all my gifts early :)
